Last weeks blog touched on a few questions you should ask yourself before and during a relationship. Relationships are great, but don't underestimate all of the amazing things that happen during your single season of life either. Find contentment whether you are dating or you are single. There is a season and time for everything in life, no matter the season, be content. If you are single, learn to enjoy the season you are in by working towards your dreams and aspirations.
For my ladies, use this time for getting to know yourself more, pursuing your purpose, and having fun in the midst of friends and family. Use this time to also seek God on prepping you to be a wife, if you desire to be one. Instead of spending your time searching for a man, enjoy traveling and activities, and you're bound to meet someone. Many can attest to meeting their now spouse, when they least expected it. They were focused on their future, serving in the church, starting businesses, and participating in all types of activities when they actually met someone.
For my guys, take this time to figure out what you want. Seek God on prepping you to become a husband and also leading you to find your wife, if you desire to be married. When you feel you are ready to date or court someone, make sure you're looking for someone who brings to the table, what you believe you can also bring. I believe that at the very least you should always have a standard and deal breakers in place. That way when you see someone that you would like to get to know further, you will pursue her with the right intentions, as well as already know what you are looking for.
Just remember no matter where you are in life it is important to be content and not idolize the fact that you may not be where someone else is. We are all in different seasons in our life and at the right time, things will be added.
